Don't you just love surprises? I know we do. So you can imagine our surprise when we opened our inbox to find a 4 track release from Brazilian producer Cement Tea just sitting there waiting for us!

If you've been following our [nstbt_podcast] series, you will have no doubt heard some of his incredible mixes that he's submitted over the last couple of years.

Every song had its purpose and place, layering textures and building tension, creating a cerebral tapestry of electronic artistry. The marks of a true artist with a vision, and a strong sense of what it is he wishes to achieve.

Not surprisingly his production work is very similar, in the sense that in many cases it defys all typical genre classification. He has amassed an impressive collection of work spanning across multiple labels, including his own self released works. Borrowing sounds from drumstep, hardcore, industrial techno, drum and bass, crossbreed, doomcore, and molding them all together to create sounds that blur lines.

What it is called is less important, than what it is <3

Here are 4 tracks that if I was being completely honest, are like nothing we've ever put out before. When I started "No sleep till bedtime..." it was a hardtechno label, which slowly started leaning more towards industrial hardcore. Which opened up new doors to new artists both local and abroad, and helped to create more growth and opportunities for all.

And that is where we are at now, we want to help create more growth and opportunities for all artists who work with us. Whether it's promoting DJ mixes via our podcast series, organising remix contests or helping to release your first EP

Over the last week since receiving this release I have fallen in love with it. It's quirky and hypnotic. It's relentless and atmospheric.

You have to hear this release to understand that Cement Tea is not your everyday producer/DJ. He is an artist with a vision, set to re-imagine the way in which the world sounds. And we are grateful for the opportunity to be able to release these tracks for him.
